The Diary

Date: June 19th, 14

How are you?

My academic year ended today, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Due to the fact that my other two exams were from previous semester, I just have one test to take in a week.

Whatever the case, I was going home after school when I noticed a guy my age approaching toward me. So I was nervous-excited but nervous-about meeting him for the first time.

If I had accidently bumped into him, I would have said anything, simply to start a discussion. From a distance, he seemed cute.

Soon, I noticed that we were strolling on the same sidewalk side. I had no idea where to go to avoid him. Moving or staying was the question on my mind.

When I caught up to him, I wasn't sure which direction to go. Then, I looked up after a little pause. When I saw him smiling, I was surprised. 1

I could see him beaming at me.

On the right side of his grin, he had a dimple. It had a dark brown color to his eyes. He had some freckles on his nose and cheeks from the sun on his face. 1

I froze when it came time to decide whether to go or remain. After I had returned his grin, he had turned away. It was just a matter of time until we both relocated.

I glanced up and saw him doing the same thing while laughing. His smile brought back his dimple.

"Sorry." Erwin grinned and said, "I wasn't sure which direction to go."

"I didn't either," I said. In front of my filthy blue vans, I confessed.

This is the route I'll go. " It was his left and mine was my right, and he pointed to his left.

Then, "I'll take this route." It was my left and his right.

"Right." The kid gave a nod before giggling once again. 'There's a lot of planning' Then I heard him mutter, and he stepped around me.

After only a few seconds of standing beside him, my mood had soared to a new high.

While walking home, I kept thinking about him. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I had no idea who he was.

I'll have to visit him once more.

Diary,

Today was a quiet one. This morning, I woke up late since I had a late night It's time to make cookies! It was an enjoyable movie.

And pondered how to discover his identity.

"Dear Diary,"

Just received a call from the office. It was a lot of fun. I spent the whole day scooping ice cream. It was great.

As I was going home from school, I began thinking about the guy from two days before.

Despite my best efforts, I can't get him out of my head. I'd want to know his name, and that's all. But he seemed to be a lovely guy.

I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings as I walked. I was mainly focused on the ground. I just glanced up when I heard someone chuckle.

"It's great to see you again!" The kid laughed, his black eyes gleaming in the sunlight. 1

I managed to grin a little bit.

"This is the method I'll duck." His finger was pointing in the direction he was

In agreement, I gave a little nod of the head

There is a chance that I'll run across you again. He smiled as he sped down the rod once again.

As I drove home, I inwardly screamed at myself.

After seeing him, my heart stopped.

1

I'm a fool.

"Dear Diary,"

As of this morning, I'm slated to work five days straight, beginning on Tuesday.

That boy may show up again.

In my opinion, this is unlikely.

How are you?

Please excuse me, but my life right now isn't all that thrilling, and I'm sorry. I'm at a loss for words. No news to report today.

Besides babysitting, I did nothing but hang around. I essentially squandered the final day of my five-day vacation.

Nevertheless, it's not the end of the

What the heck is going on?

What?

Dear Diary:

As a result, today was much better than yesterday in terms of having a point to make.

There was a new incident. After work, at the same time every day, on the same street, I came upon him.

Again.

It's happened a third time!

What are the chances of meeting him at the same time and location again? When I see him, he must be leaving for work.

It was the first time he had come near me, so I immediately switched sides of the path.

His behavior changed just after seeing me.

"Hey." My friend's face lighted up as we finally halted in front of him.

"Hey." When I heard the joke, I couldn't help

"What's the big deal?" He smiled.

As soon as you saw me doing it, you switched sides."

"Perhaps I intended to." He shrugged and smiled. 1

I couldn't help but smile.

If I don't see you tomorrow, I'll have to go. His inquiry was worded as one.

"Sure." I gave him a nod and let him leave.

I'm nearly looking forward to the end of the workday tomorrow.

No one attempted to relocate or go the other way throughout our encounter today. We had simply stopped to chat. Isn't that simple?

When we see one other, he asks where I'm from, and I tell him work. I asked him whether he went there every day, and he said that he did.

Upon inquiry, I learned that his workplace is just a few blocks away from the ice cream business I work at. Great job!

"Hey, I'm Gavin. G.a.v.i.n." He explained everything to me.

"As Ellie I would want to introduce myself to you. E.l.l.i.e." I mimicked his laughter.

In other words, "nice name."

You're welcome.

As a result, he left and said he'd see me tomorrow.

Friday, June 26

"Dear Diary,"

Today marks one week since I first met Gavin. There is something about him that I can't get out of my mind.

Today, a colleague caught me daydreaming at work. Wasn't it humiliating? Was I thinking about anything in particular when she asked? My response was an unsteady one about how I had been very busy recently and was thinking about things I needed to accomplish.

However, your silly smile begs to disagree. As I began to clean up, she pointed out that I should go home. "So, who's on your mind now?"

"Who is it now?" I giggled uncomfortably, more than I intended to.

Tasks aren't likely to make you happy, I'm guessing. Wasn't that right?

Everyone knows that it isn't you." In other words, I made up a story to cover up

I'm really sorry, Ellie!" 'You're too naive', she said, sighing. She laughed as she spoke, leaving me completely baffled by her remarks.

I gathered my belongings and checked the time. And it dawned on me then that my normal departure time was 5 minutes late.

To go, I snatched up my bag and slung it over my shoulder, said goodbye to my coworkers, and rushed off. Even though it was foolish of me to panic out, I promised Gavin I'd see him again today and he agreed.

I was literally sprinting down the street. Then I bumped with someone as I rounded a corner to take a shortcut via a tidy alleyway.

I fell on my buttocks and said, "I'm sorry."

There is no need to worry. "His chuckle was becoming to be a bit of a habit for me."

While standing up, I murmured "Gavin" into his ear.

It occurred to me that maybe I'd missed you already today. In his dark brown, untidy locks, he brushed his fingers through the frizz.

"I came home late from work." I fiddled with my shirt's bottom.

It looked as if you were in a hurry. " When I saw you running into me, I laughed.

"I apologized," he said. I flushed, but I didn't look at him at all.

There is no need to worry. This time Gavin's dimple was visible when he smiled at me. "Please excuse my tardiness. Tomorrow I'll see you."

I made eye contact with him and waved my hand. I breathed a big sigh of relief as he rounded the corner.

It seems like Gavin is finding a way into my heart.

Diary,

There is something about Gavin that keeps me thinking about him all the time, and I don't know what it is.

His untidy hair and beautiful brown eyes. Because of his dimple and his funny chuckle, I want to have a good laugh with him.

The image of him has been ingrained in my mind, and I'm beginning to wonder whether this is more than just a simple hello. As soon as I see him, I feel like my heart is racing and I get butterflies in my stomach. Hearing him call my name was so natural when I ran into him the other day.

Whatever happened to me, journal?

He's growing on me. And it makes me nervous.

28th June, 2014

"Dear Diary,"

Tomorrow will be my final day at work. As a reward for working five days straight, I'll receive three days off. That makes me really pleased. My job isn't difficult—I'm simply scooping ice cream—and the folks are kind. You have my whole attention.

The last time I saw Gavin, he was anxious to get started, so I let him leave. To be honest, I was a little disappointed.

This sensation went away as I saw him coming towards me. Once again, I felt apprehensive. I just wanted to speak with him.

Prior to my approaching him, he paused and looked at his feet.

'Hey, Gavin.' There was something wrong, but I didn't know what.

Then he said, "Ellie." "My apologies for yesterday! I didn't intend to make it sound like I was so eager to go. My employer asked me to arrive a little early."

"I hardly noticed." I lied between my teeth as I smirked.

« You seemed apprehensive when I stated I had to go immediately." He rubbed his chin and squinted at the 1

What if I did? "Whoops," I said, feigning astonishment.

Gavin let out a loud, ecstatic scream.

Innocent? "Oh, Ellie," He said with a smile.

I could feel a flush coming on.

How come you didn't cry yesterday?" Isn't that what you're asking? 1

It was the first time I'd sighed in a long time Lies were going to do me no good at all. It's also possible for me, if he finds out, to decide not to speak with him in the future.

The answer is, "Yes, I did."

"Really?"

"Yeah." When I looked up at him, I nodded.

To express my dissatisfaction at not being able to speak to you as well. He confessed, which made me chuckle. 1

"Really?" To which he said "yes."

And I'd want to make up for it," I said, feeling like our discussion had turned over and we were mimicking one other.

"How?" Gavin laughed as I scowled.

Asking, "Ellie, would you want to go out with me?"

But even though he spoke so naturally, I was left speechless.

1

As a result of my utter astonishment, I can't recall precisely what I did next.

As I replied, "Yes," I had a big smile on my face.

Gavin and I have a date.

29th June, 2014

After my date with Gavin, I almost raced home to write this. Wait, dear diary, I really ran home to write this. I'd tell you everything, but I'd have to write pages and pages about it. As far as I'm concerned, that was the happiest I've ever been!

He handed me his phone number before he left for work yesterday, as we had agreed. As a result, we ended up sending messages back and forth last night since I was too eager to write it all down the day before!

He told me he wanted to take me to the beach today, and I agreed. He held my hand as we went. I was really worried! Gavin didn't appear to notice that my hand was sweaty. 1

Story-telling helped us learn more about each other. As an example, I now know that his favorite color is green, and that he enjoys playing the guitar. He told me he may play it for me one day. 1

We don't know how this connection will end out, so he simply said "maybe," which I understand. So, we've only been out once. I discovered that I really like him.

He's amazing.

Any of this could not have occurred since I didn't know which direction to go on the sidewalk. It's a big shock. I ended up with a date.

You know what I'm getting at here?

Gavin and I went out on a date.
